Project 02 : Illusion By Light Final Board

Through proper analysis on how to incorporate the lighting fixture as truly emphasizing the word parasite, I have achieved in creating a parasitic structural filter lighting where the lighting itself will be attached on the I-beam(column). The points that were extracted from the precedent study, Villa Dall'Ava by Rem Koolhaas are seen through the lighting fixture. Firstly, the stilts, horizontal lines that are obviously seen are arranged according to rhythmic manner as what the architect intend to do based on his building. Secondly, the body & space, the architect interpret this as compression and expansion, therefore both ends of the lighting fixture are compressed and expand at the center, thus, creating that hand like structure where it is trying to hold the column. Lastly, the empty heart, the house consists of 3 floors, where the middle floor only consists of glass walls, during the night it will seem as if the house is floating from afar. This shows from the center of the lighting fixture, where two structures (above & below) are seemingly trying to hold the light and cast intense shadows, this also reveals the interior layer of structure that is colored in black, to blend in with the column.
